When designing a playground, we usually think about the form of the equipment, its colours and functions, and how it will fit into its surroundings. However, natural light can also become an important part of the design.

Its direction, intensity and colour change depending on the weather and the time of day. This natural movement of light means that the space never remains static. It may look different in the morning than it does at midday, while the afternoon sun can bring out entirely new colours and reflections.

In the FLORO collection, we have used this effect through transparent decorative elements. Colourful flower petals and green leaves allow sunlight to pass through, creating vibrant shadows on the surface below.
